Re-thinking Radio Art
Re-thinking Radio Art

In this podcast, we showcase the works of participants from the Re-thinking Radio Art workshop at the Institute of Sonology, as follows: Karmen Ponikvar, Nefo Zhang, Tingyi Jiang, Britt Boogaard, Akiko Mik, Lars Floris, Patrik Amico and Hanriett Pálházy, Adomas Palekas, Shawn Wong and Lennart Sailer, Davide Andriani.

Through informal conversations about the concept and production of radio artwork, led by students who have delved deep into this artistic realm, we aim to answer fundamental questions such as why radio is still relevant today and how one can shape experimental radio practice.

This workshop welcomes independent and open-ended artistic exploration, allowing participants to tap into the narrative, technical, and artistic potentials of the radio medium. We aim to promote the use of radio as an instrument for electronic experimental music and push the boundaries of what can be deemed as language through radio. Our goal is to uncover the unique and multifaceted potential of this "old" medium and showcase its new and innovative ways of expression.
